Building Tomorrow, One Billet at a Time.
Commissioned in 2025, SIBCO’s Billet Plant is a state-of-the-art facility integrating Induction Furnaces, Continuous Casting, and Hot Direct Rolling (CC-HDR) systems. The plant produces up to 600,000 metric tons per year of premium billets that fully comply with BS 4449:2005 + A3:2016, available in multiple sizes and chemical compositions to match customer specifications.
Quick Delivery
Fast and reliable supply for every project timeline.
Full Compliance
Tested and certified to meet global standards.
Billet Production
Surface & Internal Integrity
All billets are ultrasonically inspected and visually examined to confirm the absence of defects such as cracks, voids, laps, or non-metallic inclusions. These rigorous inspections ensure optimum performance in subsequent rolling and forming operations and support full traceability of product quality.
Capacity & Quality Assurance
With a production capacity of 600,000 metric tons annually, SIBCO maintains continuous quality monitoring from raw material charging to finished product delivery. Each stage is governed by a comprehensive QA/QC protocol, ensuring billets meet or exceed international steelmaking standards and customer specifications.

Steelmaking Process
Scrap Charging
SIBCO carefully sources and inspects scrap steel before charging it into the furnace, ensuring consistent and contaminant-free input materials.
Melting
Electric induction furnaces melt the scrap while precisely controlling and adjusting chemical properties such as C, Mn, Si, P, and S to achieve target composition.
Continuous Casting
The molten steel is cast into billets at a controlled temperature of 1,550 °C – 1,600 °C for structural uniformity and surface precision.
Transfer & Storage
Finished billets are either directly fed for hot-rolling or transferred to storage, depending on downstream requirements.
